Curly Sue (Ali)

Ali has natural curls and LOTS of them! She wore her grandmother's  antique wedding gown, so we both decided something classic and mostly down would be best. Because she has such tight curls that are prone to frizz (nashville weather, come on!), I touched up her locks with a (tiny!) 1/2" curling iron . I was careful not to leave the iron on the hair vert long, or wrap it perfectly around the iron, because it needed to blend and look natural.

Pump Up The Volume!

Bride Crockett wanted half-up do with lots of volume and loose curls. She looked beautiful!

Crockett had 16 bridesmaids in her party! I traveled to Sewanee for the day and did about 10 of the girl's hair (it was a blur, to say the least!), as well as her soon-to-be mother-in-law's and had a great time being with them all day in preparation. I also stayed with them for touchups throughout photos and the ceremony.

Ballerina

Marissa was one of my college roomates and I was so happy to get to do her hair for her big day! She wanted a higher up-do that had the sleek look of a bun.  This turned out so lovely!! She looks like a princess. A Ballerina Princess!

Curls!

I had lots of fun doing Marens hair. She has naturally very straight and sleek hair, so it was exciting for her to be able to have endless waves and curls on her wedding day! We had originally planned to put it up, but once I had finished curling, we just had to leave it down!

She bought a gold and brown brooch, and we were able to pin it into her hair. It looked stunning!

I just pinned a few pieces on each side, to keep the weight more in the back, but left some pieces down around her face for a some romance.
I also styled her mom's up-do and here is one of the bridesmaids I styled below:

Simple Up-do with a little wave...

Here are some pictures of a really classic look. This up-do is great because it stays in place, but does not at all look "slicked back" because of the side part and wave we put in with a small curling iron!

I also styled a number of her wonderful bridesmaids. Here is an example of half-up, half-down style below.

Natural Curls+Flowers!

I love working with natural curls and waves. They are so romantic! We made this up-do even more beautiful with some flowers that we asked the florist bring along when delivering the bouquets. Its super easy, and they will most likely know what to do (just thread wire through them and secure with a couple bobby pins). Here we used "Stephanotis" which is a white flower that looks almost like a star. They are small enough to add just a little something, or cluster together for a more dramatic effect. Loved how this turned out!

We had some flowers leftover, so the bridesmaids got to join in the fun :)
